Clay County, Minnesota

Clay County is one of the principal counties of the Fargo-Moorhead area. Originally known as Breckenridge County, it is now named after famous politician Henry Clay.
The county seat and largest city is Moorhead. The Red River of the North makes up the western border of the county.

The county borders Norman, Becker, Otter Tail and Wilkin Counties in Minnesota; as well as Richland and Cass Counties in North Dakota.

Main Highways include I-94, US-10, US-52, US-75, MN-9, MN-32 and MN-34.
